If dermatologists now have treatments more effective in overcoming skin disorders, the results do not always good. Also, doctors are able to offer alternatives for patients to reconnect with themselves.

A study has assessed the impact of corrective makeup on the quality of life. 73 women 18 to 45 years, suffering from vitiligo, hyper pigmentation important angiomas … who were followed for 3 months. To measure the effectiveness of the product (Dermablend Vichy Laboratories ®) on quality of life questionnaires were completed before the first application of makeup, then after 15 days, one month and finally after 3 months of use. The questions concern both felt that the symptoms of the disease lived in daily activities, recreation, personal relationships …

The results obtained from the 2nd week show a significant improvement in all parameters analyzed. Thus the disease is less prevalent in the patient’s life, patients are less concerned about the image they give to others and therefore are surer of themselves.

It is important to note that this improvement continues after one and two months of use. It is therefore not a novelty effect but more of a product adoption as an agent on the quality of life.
