skin care

Would you use butter to moisturize your face? There are those who do. Most people use cosmetic creams or oils, but there are other alternatives.

Butter for the skin
Do you know that shortening is an ingredient used by thousands of women like body cream or rough areas? There are even those who use it in the face. We do not recommend for the face but can be tested in other areas. Shortening is used. The oily skin may therefore be used sparingly. It is ideal for heels, elbows, knees or hands dry.

It helps the skin because it creates a barrier between skin and environment causing the skin to retain its own oils. A major problem when using lard to bring it into contact with clothing is that it is very difficult to wash clothes and if not eliminated after a while butter smells rancid.

Vaseline
It works like butter creates a protective barrier around the skin. It is ideal for people who practice skiing or exposed to cold temperatures or wind. It clogs the pores and therefore should not be used in areas prone to pimples.

Can be used on face and body but there are better options for the face. As a petroleum product but do not recommend many doctors do.

Butter or vegetable waxes
There are many like shea butter, avocado, command and others. They are very effective in protecting the skin and treat dry skin. You can read more in this article: butters for skin

Vegetable oil
There are many types of oil like almond, olive, sunflower and others. All can be used on the skin, can be mixed with each other to create a better consistency or use cigars.

I know a dermatologist who used sunflower oil instead of body cream. It can enrich the content by putting them in some capsules of vitamin E or a little wheat germ oil and must be kept in the refrigerator if the weather is humid.

Mineral oil
It comes from oil and has very large molecules that block the pores. It is effective but can cause outbreaks of acne in those predisposed. The baby oil is mineral oil and is generally cousin of Vaseline. Before it contained many cosmetics but now with the rise of natural products use this decline.
